Hello, I’m Aya Narita, a Customer Success Manager at Virtusize.

In my role, I support our clients who have implemented Virtusize on their own e-commerce sites to ensure they make the most of our service and achieve meaningful results. By carefully listening to our clients’ challenges and goals, and working closely with our technical team, I strive to propose and execute the best possible solutions that lead to healthy long-term partnerships.

Why I Find This Work Rewarding

I have a strong desire to help and contribute to others through my work. Seeing our clients’ requests come to life, and witnessing the positive results that follow, brings me great satisfaction and joy!

At Virtusize, collaboration across teams is seamless. One of the most exciting aspects of my job is being able to witness firsthand how the projects I lead or contribute to take shape and make a meaningful impact.

I also work with large-scale clients, which allows me to see how my efforts can influence many people. This sense of responsibility motivates me to keep improving and delivering my best every day!

A Typical Day

My day usually starts with checking messages and emails from my clients. I regularly have meetings with them, and much of my daily work involves preparing for these discussions.

During the meetings, we mainly talk about how Virtusize is contributing to improving their business performance, and explore new ways we can bring additional value.

Customer Success at Virtusize covers a wide range of responsibilities. Sometimes I directly handle technical requests, and at other times I work on contract-related matters. I really love the variety as it allows me to continuously build new skills and grow professionally.

Collaboration Across Teams

At Virtusize, the boundaries between teams are very low, and we always work together. In large organizations, it’s common for departments to work separately, but at Virtusize, I have the opportunity to exchange ideas directly with members from all areas: front-end and back-end engineering, design, growth and data science teams.

It’s incredibly motivating to see my ideas quickly reflected in our products and to experience improvements being made at a fast pace.

What Makes Virtusize Unique

The biggest attraction is the freedom and flexibility in how we work.

While we have a wonderful office in Harajuku, we also have the option to work remotely from wherever we feel most comfortable.

Virtusize also really encourages initiative. If you raise your hand and say “I want to try this” or “I think we can make this better,” you’re given the chance to take on new challenges. Of course, this comes with responsibility and ownership, but for those who are eager to grow and innovate, it’s an ideal environment.

Working with an international team and engaging with clients not only in Japan but also around the world is another unique and inspiring aspect of Virtusize.

As mentioned, our office is located in Harajuku, an area surrounded by diverse fashion brands and boutiques that provide daily inspiration.

Many of our Japanese clients’ offices are within walking distance, which makes it easy to meet and communicate face-to-face in addition to online.

We’re based in WeWork Iceberg, a shared office that accommodates pets, so I sometimes get to work alongside my dog (picture below!), which always brightens my (and my co-workers’) day!
